Information about the sessions running at Swansea Mind
(Note: People cannot attend any of the sessions or groups without an assessment.)
Peer Support Sessions
Swansea Mind provides welcoming and supportive Peer Support Sessions, where anyone can come to the centre for information, a chat and to meet other people. Swansea Mind provides a safe and non-judgemental environment for adults diagnosed, labelled or treated as having mental health problems.
Anyone who needs our support can refer themselves to us to have a needs and risk assessment.
Self Harm Support
Support for adults who self Injure. The group helps people to explore their own reasons for self harming in a safe non-judgemental environment.This is strictly by appointment only, so please contact us if you wish to access this support.
Depression and Anxiety Self Help Support Groups
These sessions are there to provide structured support in a group setting for people who have experienced depression or anxiety. The group will help people who want to work towards positive emotional and mental wellbeing.
Hearing Voices Self Help Support Groups
The sessions are there to provide structured support in a group setting for people who have experienced hearing voices. Where possible, this group is run by volunteers who have experienced hearing voices themselves.
Managing Anger Course
An eight week structured course supporting people who experience difficulty expression and controlling their anger. We ask for a donation to Swansea Mind for all attendees. A certificate of completion is given for all of those who complete the course.
OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) Self Help Support
This group runs on the third Tuesday of every month. It provides structured support for people who experience OCD and is run by a volunteer with lived experience.
We provide one to one counselling. There is a waiting list for this service.
