For Better Mental Health

Swansea Mind - Future Minds Young person project

Swansea Mind – Future Minds Project

Provides free group workshops, information and some 1:1 support to young people aged 11-18 with identified poor emotional wellbeing. The interventions will aim to enable young people to improve and maintain their mental health and resilience.

  • Initially, we will provide the activity in 2 partner schools who support the project: Olchfa School and Dylan Thomas Community School. We will also provide a training session for school staff in each school that will enable staff to promote resilience that compliments the work group.

  • We will run community-based 60 minute groups and some 1:1 sessions for young people identified/referred by other community services.

  • We will provide information and advice on fostering resilience to local agencies working with CYP.

  • Aside from the above project, Swansea Mind also offers training to schools on all aspects of mental health.  As this isn’t part of a funding stream, the school would need to fund this themselves.
